The Broadway Hotel

My wife and I recently spent a night at The Broadway Hotel, a charming Bed and Breakfast right in the heart of downtown Philipsburg, MT, and I can honestly say it was one of the best getaways I’ve had in a while. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed—check-in was a breeze, and the hosts couldn’t have been friendlier. (Fun fact: they’re Baylor alumni, and their warmth really set the tone for my stay.) My room was decorated in a quirky cowboy theme, complete with vintage Western art and rustic touches that made it feel both fun and cozy. It definitely added a unique flair that made me smile every time I walked in. After settling in, I wandered out to the back patio, which quickly became my favorite spot. It’s a comfortable little oasis, perfect for unwinding—and yes, it’s an ideal place if you enjoy a cigar in the evening. The hotel itself was spotless and incredibly quiet, which made for a restful night’s sleep. Even though I was only there for one night, I could tell that cleanliness is a top priority here. In the morning, breakfast was simple but satisfying: muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, and a solid cup of coffee to start the day. What really stood out to me—besides the inviting atmosphere—was the location. Being right downtown, I had easy access to all the fun shops and some really good restaurants just a short walk away. Philipsburg has a lot of character, and The Broadway Hotel is the perfect base for exploring it. I’ll admit, it’s on the pricier side, but honestly, it’s worth every penny for the experience, the ambiance, and the top-notch hospitality. I’d especially recommend this place for couples looking for a cozy, romantic escape. If you’re thinking of staying, book early—it’s a popular spot for a reason! All in all, my stay at The Broadway Hotel was wonderful, and I can’t wait for an excuse to return.

Our family really enjoyed our stay! Comfortable beds, neat historic building, and really nice communal lounge area. Our 13 year old said it was the best place he has ever stayed. Scott the owner asked us what homemade muffins we wanted in the morning and made them fresh for us (they were delicious!). He gave us great knowledge about the area and the history too. We were only there for 18 hours but those 18 hours were wonderful. Amazing experience

I just had the pleasure of staying here for a couple of nights. The staff was great and responsive. The whole place has a great vibe. My room/bathroom was very clean. The common room is beautiful and a great place to hang. The location can’t be beat! It’s right in downtown Philipsburg and is easy walking distance from restaurants/bars/brewery!! You can literally park in their lot (behind the brewery and by main entrance to hotel) and walk to everything.

What a great spot! Scott was super accommodating and helpful during our stay. He had the coffee ready for us every morning and even checked around town to see if other businesses and restaurants were going to be open during the slower time of year. The hotel and rooms were incredible, filled with cool artwork and local memorabilia.

We were lucky enough to get a room in Broadway Hotel as we were traveling through Montana. The room was incredibly comfortable and immaculate. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and the coffee was wonderful. Scott, the owner, even stopped to check on us the next morning when he saw us on the side of the road with the hood up on our vehicle. It was a great stay and I highly recommend The Broadway Hotel.

This is such a cute hotel, and it is managed by the loveliest family. The staff is also so nice. The rooms are all decorated so well and each room has a theme. The beds, pillows, and comforter were so comfortable. It was hard to get out of bed every day. : ) Every morning there were freshly baked muffins or banana bread to start the day. They had local coffee ready every morning. I stayed in the Discovery room which had a view of the ski hill and I had my own coffee maker and mini fridge in the room. Philipsburg itself is a cute town. There is a brewery, a few great restaurants, a candy store, an antique store, a thrift store, a jewelry store, and an ice rink. The Discovery ski resort is only about 30 minutes away. There you can downhill ski, snowboard, and cross-country ski. I can't wait to come back and visit this hotel and area in the summer.

This place is adorable! The owner is the nicest, most accommodating hotel host we've ever met. The sitting area with the fireplace is the best place you will find to relax and enjoy a drink. The hotel location is absolutely perfect for checking out downtown Philipsburg. We highly recommend The Broadway Hotel!

I had been camping for a few nights and was ready for a bed and a shower. This place was excellent! The owner Scott was very helpful in getting me setup with a room last minute. Great advice on beers (The Brewery on the corner), what was open for dinner late in town, etc. He know a ton of the history and local stories. Beds were so comfortable, shower was hot and great pressure, rooms were well decorated and the main sitting room was very welcoming. Great breakfast and coffee setup in the morning. Would absolutely stay again.
